Interview about the issue "Listening to music while doing homework"
"Sometime I can focus better with music," the Freshman Brandiizzle Smith said. "But it distracts me, if there is a really good song," she said additionally.
Sierra High School in Colorado Springs allows to listen to music in the lessons most of the time. Smith thinks that this should be changed, because the consequence of it, are bad grades and other pupils are animated to do the same.
For example German schools do not allow to listen to music in school. If the teachers notice that, they will take the music away. "Maybe the US schools don't care as much as German schools," Smith said.

Additionally this arctile shall point out wether single parent families and getting allowances have an effect on these habits. To get these information, I will interview a teen who is out of a single parent family, a teen who gets no or less allowances and a teen who does not has to care for money because his or her parents give him money if he or she asks for it. To interview a teen who lives in a lower income family, i have to set up a limit for lower, middle or higher income families.

21 September: Interview about Drinking st 21
It is a fact that more and more young teens drink and the age when they start drinking is much lower than 21.
"Maybe some parents understand that their children drink, because their children would drink anyways before turning 21," the Sierra High School Sophomore Brandiizzile Smith said.
But she also said that many parents don't allow their children to drink and are not very pleased if they ascertain it.
Smith does not understand why the drinking age is at 21 though you become an adult if you turn 18. "Maybe the government officials think you are more responsable with 21," she added.

09/17 Interview about voting at 18
At the moment there is a huge public discussion about whether or not the voting age should be changed.
The sophomore Tania Jones of Sierra High School says that it doesnt matter if the voting age is lower or higher then 18. Moreover Tania is not sure, if she will vote when she turns 18.
"My family is not very interested in politics," Tania said. She's not even sure if her parents vote.
Maybe the fact that poltics do not play an important role in the family causes her unclear opinion about the voting age and politics in general.
Tania said that she would like to know the most important facts about politics because she thinks that a general knowledge about politics is important. She will not attent to a politics class in school, but inform herself in the internet.

journal week 5
Sept 7 : On Friday evening Raylene went out with her friends and rocked a party. Next morning she did a shopping trip to state fair in Pueblo. Just typical activities for a youth.
But she also "likes to spend time with her family" and watch the Baloon Blow.
